The hotel is in a beautiful location. We like the sea view rooms at the Glenburn. Steep steps up to the front but worth it for the view. Bar closes at 10pm. Food stops at 8.30. We enjoyed our meals and drinks in the lounge. Side entrance to the hotel was still closed. Our room and bed was very comfortable . The waiting staff were very pleasant. Thank you for looking after us. The hot breakfast was really very good. We enjoyed it very much. Over all, we had a great 2 night stay. We know the hotel is dated in places but it is a grand old hotel in a beautiful location.

Loved the setting. The team at the hotel was friendly, engaging, and really keen to ensure my stay was a great experience. I loved the fact that the hotel is investing in employing young people. Barry, the manager of the restaurant and bar area, was brilliant and passionate about his work and the hotel. Keen to engage with the clientele and to bring his team on. I loved the quirkiness of the hotels history. The food was good quality and of a good standard. Views from the sea view rooms, fabulous.

Staff are all very friendly, happy and helpful. The food is excellent, both the breakfast buffet and the dinner we had was great. The building itself is stunning, grand and full of atmosphere as well as a stunning view out the front. Very high ceiling in our room felt nice and airy. It really is a stunning building with phenomenal staff and would be an absolute shame if the issues with the room and updating some bits that needed it weren't done, and it fell to a worse state.

Mark

The staff are brilliant 👏 and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. A special shout out to Thomas. He gave us recommendations on places to eat, sights to see, he went back and forth to the chef with questions from one of our fussy children and him and the chef went above and beyond to accommodate the needs. Staff were always cleaning and tidying up and every staff member we came across was always really helpful and friendly.

Samantha

Warm panelled, stately, classy hotel that must be the best on the island. Situated above the surrounding properties for a commanding view of the sea from all east facing rooms. Lovely bar/lounge area full of chesterfield sofas and chairs well spaced out in a warm and inviting space. If you stay here you MUST visit Mount Stuart! https://www.mountstuart.com/ its about the best stately home I've ever seen (including several palaces).
